6/7 Entry
It seems like I say this every couple of days, but today was the best day with Lia to date!! This little linebacker was all smiles today and showed little or no effect from the bruised head or her cold. We had an absolute blast with her today. Today was mostly spent in her favorite Spiderman bike, chewing on our watches, and learning to climb stairs (with Mom and Dad's help of course). In the next couple of days we will find out if we need to stay for the whole duration or make our adoption in two trips. To be honest, I was dreading spending another 36 days away from our family and friends but now I cannot image leaving Lia. What a roller coaster this whole adoption has been!!
Earlier in the day Natasha took us back into the mountains and this time we went to a Kaz spa and it was DELIGHTFUL!! I don't even know how to describe it, it was nothing like we'd ever seen. It was not like a spa in the US, this was several paths in the mountains that took you to a Kaz restaurant, a Russian restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, a heated pool, a petting zoo, outdoor fire pits, outdoor kitchens, outdoor bars and seating, the actual spa where you could indulge in massages and what ever else you do in a spa. It was wonderful. Today we talked Natasha in letting us treat her for lunch and we ate at the Russian place and it was beautiful inside (I posted a picture). I had lamb, Lisa ate a sardine (I am sooooo proud of her!!) and we finished the meal with authentic Russian tea which comes in a tea kettle for the concentrated tea, a self boiling tank that they place on our table for the hot water, 3 ceramic ducks filled with honey, berries, and a type of jelly, a basket of sweet roles, and a basket of what I considered hard, sweet pretzels (we snuck some of those to Lia today).
We are pooped and ready to call it a night. Thanks for stopping by today, we miss you all and can't wait for you to meet our little linebacker!!
Love Wil, Lisa, and Lia!
