June 3rd Update
To all our friends in the US, have a good June 3rd. To all of our friends in Almaty, June 3rd was a good day!! It started with Lisa and I relaxing this morning over a pot of Green Tea for my wife and 'I, ROBOT' on the laptop. Lunch was at the Italian restaurant we ate at in our 1st week and the food was just as good as remembered. Natasha then took us to the Almaty equivalent of the museum of science and history. It was a beautiful 4 story building that chronicled everything from dinosaurs in Kaz to modern day Kaz. We really enjoyed the walking and having Natasha read all of the signs to us. All of the history of Kaz for under $.75 per person, not bad!
Okay, enough about us and tourism, let's move on the LIA MONSTER :). Today was another monumental day for Dad! I got to hold her for about the same amount of time Lisa got to hold her. Nothing in our time her has even come close to that!! Today I got to walk her around the grounds, hold her and let her look over the fence, chase her, she even sucked her thumb and kind of zoned out on me, and she let me take her back up to her nursery when it was time to go. A FIRST FOR DAD!!!
That is it, I can't write anymore, I am ecstatic!!! Another good day! Let's keep these good days coming because it is GOING TO BE A LONG TRIP BACK TO THE STATES WITH HER IN THE FUTURE!!!
Thanks for checking in! Wil, Lisa, and LIA (who also let me kiss her on the cheeks today!!!)
P.S. We also met another US couple from Arizona who were adopting 2 boys aged 15 months and 2 years. We exchanged phone numbers and we may meet up to share even more stories (good and bad) about our experience.
