6/14 Entry

Well, we made it.  Here we are sitting in the apartment proud parents of Donna Malia Victoria
Lynott.  Yesterday was the worst and best day to date!!  It all started with a shorten session with
Lia and Mommy and Daddy were just a tad nervous because we had court at noon.  Natasha had
explained to us that the day in court is a formality.  We will go and answer a couple of questions
and we will get the approval immediately.  Natasha also told us that NO ONE working with Amrex
had ever been denied and she kept TELLING US TO RELAX!!  Piece of cake' she said.  Natasha picked
us up and Lisa and I went to the courtroom with Natasha as our interpreter, Yeliena as our Amrex
facilitator, Lousia as our Baby House representative, a lawyer from Amrex, a lawyer from the
ministry of education, a state prosecutor, the state prosecutor's secretary, the judge, and the
judge's secretary.

The session went relatively good at first and with no one else being nervous Lisa and I were ready
to get our approval.  Lisa and I were asked to introduce ourselves to the court by giving our full
name, our date of birth, our place of birth, our address (which I got wrong due to the nerves), and
where we work.  The judge made the rest of the people in the room introduce themselves and
before we knew it we were underway.  The female judge (who yawned several times during the
session) asked me to stand and asked my several questions ranging from 'why cant you get
pregnant, why Kaz, and why this little girl?'  I was nervous and felt it was hard to answer while
waiting for my answer to be interpreted back to the court by Natasha.  I like to think I have a BS in
BS but my flow was slowed down a bit due to the circumstances.  I even made the room laugh and
blush on accident.  When I was asked why we cannot get pregnant I answered to the effect that
there is no medical condition that prevents us and that we will continue to try.  My answer was not
meant to be sexual but according to Natasha it was taken that way.

The judge then asked Lisa to fill in any blanks and she did a wonderful job of telling them all about
the love we will share, our families will share, and our friends will share.  The judge then asked
Lousia to speak about our visits with Lia and she went on about how she has taken to us and does
not want to listen to the workers anymore.  She gave us an endorsement to adopt Lia.  The Amrex
lawyer gave us an endorsement to adopt Lia.  The lawyer from the Ministry of Education gave us an
endorsement to adopt Lia.  The state prosecutor gave us an endorsement to adopt Lia.  Lisa and I
could not help but smile as we figured the next thing was the approval of our application to adopt
Lia.

INSTEAD the judge advised us to come back at 5:00 because she wanted to call the city court office
to verify if the discovery of Lia's sister would make her ineligible for adoption.  WHAM, the license
plate of that MAC truck that hit us officer was '0 HELL N0'.  There we were, on the edge of the
happiest day and instead we have to go 4 hours in limbo.  We threw hundreds of questions at
Natasha about what was going on and we were advised (AGAIN) that this has never happened before
and that we need to take a deep breath and they would call us after the 5:00 hearing that WE WILL
NOT ATTEND!!  All of the care free attitudes disappeared and were replaced by loud conversations
in the parking lot in Russian about what was going on and what was going to happen.

Before we knew it Lisa and I were standing in the middle of the apartment speechless, spun out,
and lost.  We came all this way and there is a  chance that Lia could slip between our fingers.  Lisa
and I spent a couple of minutes crying and pouting before we centered ourselves and began to pray.
Regardless of how we felt at the time, we still thanked God for this opportunity, then asked for
strength for what ever decision was handed down because we knew we are all part in a great plan
laid out before us.  Lisa and I then sat down and read chapter 25 'Transformed by Trouble' in The
Purpose Driven Life.  We calmed down and before you knew it the phone rang.  Lisa and I took a
moment for a long kiss as the phone rang, took a deep breathe, and answered the phone.  'It is
Natasha' the phone said 'All in fine!' and before I could repeat it back Lisa had read my body language
and knew we had a DAUGHTER!!!  What a day!!

THANK YOU ALL FOR ALL OF YOUR PRAYERS.  THEY HELPED AND THEY BROUGHT US OUR
DAUGHTER.  THANK YOU LORD FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY AND NOW GIVE US THE STRENGTH TO BE
GOOD PARENTS!!

Now on to today.  I will make is quick since I am rambling on.  We went to the waiting area to wait
for Lia this morning and we were greeted with a YELL OF JOY!!  All of the stress of the previous day
was worth it!!

THANK YOU ALL FOR CHECKING IN TODAY AND THANKS FOR THE POSITIVE THOUGHTS AND
PRAYERS.  WE HAVE CLEARED YET ANOTHER HURDLE.  WE ARE STILL NOT 100% HOME FREE YET,
BUT WE ARE GETTING CLOSER!!

GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!
LOVE, WIL, LISA, AND LIA LYNOTT
