again, this time by ourselves. Natasha picked us up at 12:30 for a tour of downtown Almaty and
we were completely surprise by how wonderful it was. The people are busy, THEY ARE
CRAZY DRIVERS!!! We had lunch at the American Cafe and walked miles and miles around
the parks, statues, and palaces. We took lots of pictures and will share if interested. After lunch
and the tour it was off to see Lia. They put us in a room full of toys and we were told that Lia
could not play with any of them. Here we are brand new parents with a little girl who is not
completely enthralled with us in a room full toys she cant play with. TEST #1!! I must say, we
did rather well. Lisa is a champ and we did not have a screaming little girl on our hands. We
played for 2 hours by ourselves and took lots of pictures and video.
She is incredible!! As is stands right now, our referral is for a boy, we still need those prayers to
help the MOE let us adopt her. Again we asked Natasha and they are not done fighting for us
and she feels okay about us getting her. In the mean time, keep her and us in your prayers. God
is a big part of the trip. We are using this opportunity to grow as people, friends, lovers, parents,
and christians. God is truly an awesome God and he did a wonderful job creating Lia who is
incredibly smart, active, and is now enjoying our touch and kisses.
We just cooked our 1st mean in Kaz and now it is time to snuggle and watch a movie and get
ready to see Lia tomorrow. This time, we are preapred with 2 big rubber balls of her very own!!
